The International Civil Aviation Organization's (ICAO) and ISO/IEC 18745 standard series are the international test standards for functional validation of electronics Machine Readable Travel Documents (eMRTD) implementing ISO/IEC 14443 standard protocol in 13.56 Mhz RF communications. It is the foundation for ensuring the durability, reliability and interoperability of ePassports, Resident Permits, ID cards, Driving Licences, Inspection System (reader) and packaged devices (chip, inlays, modules, etc.).
