Conformance testing services for ISO/IEC 14443 RF Interface of fare collection media and systems
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) has defined the ISO/IEC TS 24192 testing specification for functional validation of contactless (ISO/IEC 14443) fare management system terminals and fare media used in public transport. ISO/IEC TS 24192 specifies conformance verification standards to ensure the ISO/IEC 14443 interoperability of:
-
Contactless fare media acting as PICC (cards, mobile phones)
-
Contactless fare management system terminals acting as a PCD contactless reader
The ISO/IEC TS 24192 standard was previously known, until 2021, as CEN/TS 16794 when it was at the European level.
ICUBE Testing Center provides full testing in accordance with the ISO/IEC TS 24192 standard and the RCTIF specific requirements:
-
PICC Analog level implementation
-
PICC Digital and Protocol level implementation
-
PCD Analog level implementation
-
PCD Digital and Protocol level implementation
ICUBE is empowered by PayCert, a certification body applying the certification process defined by Smart Ticketing Alliance.
ICUBE is also empowered by Île-de-France Mobilités/RCTIF, which manages the French ticketing equipment deployed in Paris-Area, and having its certification process based as well on Smart Ticketing Alliance.
Conformance testing services of Portable Objects (PO) compliant with CALYPSO application
CALYPSO is a set of technical specifications for a fare ticket contained in a portable object (card, NFC phone, etc.). It is designed by the transport operators to ensure a fast and secure contactless transaction between a terminal and a portable object.
ICUBE is empowered by PayCert, a certification body applying the certification process defined by CNA (Calypso Networks Association).
ICUBE performs functional tests on application for all the Calypso product lines: Calypso Prime native/applet, Calypso Light and Calypso Basic. The test report is then evaluated by PayCert, and a certificate of conformity assessment is finally issued.
Conformance testing services of fare collection media compliant with CIPURSE application
The CIPURSE open standard was established by the Open Standard for Public Transportation Alliance (OSPT) to provide an advanced foundation for developing highly secure, interoperable, and flexible transit fare collection solutions. It is built on proven standards, including ISO/IEC 7816, AES-128 and ISO/IEC 14443 for securing multiple payment types. The CIPURSE standard and derived testing solutions allow conformance assessment of:
-
End-user contactless devices (smart cards / PICC, tags, keyfobs, NFC handsets)
-
Packaged devices (inlays, modules, NFC SIM, MicroSD)
-
Embedded integrated circuits (hardware chips, secure elements)
-
Applets (JavaCard)
ICUBE Testing Center provides a complete range of laboratory services to help product developers validate their designs and certify conformity with the OSPT Alliance CIPURSE standard for transportation fare collection systems. Services include laboratory debug sessions and full product conformance testing.
